haha oh my god, sometimes the line you cross for "wow that chrome / fluro looks pretty cool" to "christ that looks bloody hideous" is a fine one. No seriously, some good taste all round here :)

i like the subi emblem on the dash and the meshed up vents in particular.

indy , my cup holders are located just infront of the arm rests, and so they dont hit the winders.

Why to reduce his offroad capability of course (rear wheel travel), or perhaps just because it's shiny and says Whiteline on it :)

Because I drive 110 miles / day highway and twisty secondary roads and it makes a big difference in overall handling. It's a quick job to disconnect when going offroad, but thanks for the snide remarks! :???:

No worries. I've yet to see any remarks from this group that are mean spirited. Everyone seems to poke in good fun! :D

I'll be the first to admit that this car is over the top and that I tend to be over prepared for most things. The funny thing is, when I backpack on my own, I go as streamlined as possible. It's just when I have the wife and kids along that I have everything under the sun along. Maybe it's to be sure the little woman can't tell me "I told you so about getting stuck somewhere!"

I don't mind getting stuck as long as I have options to get myself out!

A few finishing touches on brumby to give a bit more of a homely touch, There are more but these are the only photos that I have at the moment!
I might have a photo of the tweeters somewhere too!

attachment.php?attachmentid=825&d=1207626630

Also how do I dumb down photos (decrease the resolution or memory space needed) so I can put them all up?
87 targa brumby (Neglected),
92 targa brumby (weekend runabout),
97 Lifted Outback (Dailey drive),
05 outback safety (Too cheap to pass up),

i have an 84 leone touring wagon and here is what i have done:

i converted my ignition barrel to switches for accn, and on. then a push button to start. i also have a "ninja switch" to stop any thefts, which renders the ignition useless.

i have licence plate LED installed in inside of the back door wired straight to the battery. keyless viewing of the boot.

a stronger internal light also wired straight to the battery for keyless use.
i ripped up all the carpet, and replaced it with marine carpet.

i have farmers union cup holders in between the gear stick and the 4wd selector. they hold iced coffe cartons (square ones).

i have put outback leather outback seats in the back.

they are just they few that come to mind.
patch

$2 from chickenfeed ;)

Wouldn't have a clue, probably a couple $100 for the four (ball park figure). Chromed eh, would be interesting and different though...
