I have some alloy rims that i want painting option 1 2pac
option 2 powder-coat
I don't know what will be the best i was told that powder coating is harder than 2pac but it chips
The car dose a lot of off-road if anybody had done one or the other fill me in on how they are going thanks

Jan I think the 2 pac would be the best option for you and what you do with your car.
Power coatig is very good and bonds very tight, but as you said it dose chip, and it losse it's shine, and the only to fix it is to get it re-done and that costs more then paint.
anyway thats what I would do.

I think either way they are going to chip with the amount of off roading you do.
my road rims are 2pac. they look brilliant (3 clear coats = lots of gloss) but they are chipped from the few times they have been offroad.
a few chips arent the end of the world though - they look a million times better than they did before i painted them

2pac with 3 coats approx of clear coat - easier and cheaper.
Power Coat - over the time it'll haze away and get marks on them whereabouts if you use 2pac with clear coat it'll stay the same/not wear away.
Cheers
