Brumby problems

Post by Callum89 » Sun Oct 18, 2009 5:44 pm

hello, after my 5 speed conversion the clutch cable snapped right behind the clutch cable. was wondering if i hooked it up wrong for that to happen? Also I was wonderin if anyone has a picture of the welding needed to join the L series gearbox leavers to the brumby 4wd lever? Lastly i was wondering how much difference in speed an gearage, when you put 14" sunraysiers on?

Cheers Callum

Depends on what size rubber you're using:

175/70 on a 13 inch rim is the same diametre as 175/60 on a 14 inch rim... (I think I've got that the right way round!)

don't cut or weld the levers unless you want to retain Brumby console. I left 5 speed box as it was and fitted the better L series console, all it leaves is a 10mm gap between console and the radio console of your Brumby. I also run 14 inch sunnie with 185 or 175's and speedo is closer to being spot on than when it was with 13"s. checked against many GPS units
