Handling issue L series IRS?
My L Series sedan has a handling issue I think is related to the rear independent suspension, or my 14 inch rims tyre combo or the two together. It has not happened withe tyre rim combo on my Brumby with its different to L Series suspension.
I know the inner bushes for the rear arms are shagged due to the rust colour appearing around them
What happens is driving along at 80 to 100kph and shift lanes I get a sideways wallow or shift feeling come from the whole car but suspect it is the rear causing this. It is more a wallow back to the left lane almost to the effect it looks like I am side swiping car on my left!!
The only other cough * 'car' cough , I have experienced this in before was a Triumph 2500 between gear shifts in auto. These also had a IRS .
Foot to floor for the induction roar, shift up and got a sideways kick in the bum. Owner never chased this handling difficiency - think or hope it was crushed
Any experiences or suggestions other than replace bushes and see?

Naturally if you've got worn out components then you should replace them. Email or pm Jeff from Crossbred Performance and he'll be able to set you up with new bushes that you can fit yourself.
Once you've checked that all the bushes haven't got any freeplay, your struts/shocks are all good and none of your rims and tyres are bent or out-of-round, you can start looking at this handling change. It sounds like a toe change or wheel misalignment problem so fix all the easy stuff first.

I can tell you that it will be those rear bushes - Baz (84 L series) doesn't have any on him anymore and around bends at speed he feels like one wheel "rolls" partly under the back of the subi as he crabs around the corner! If you're not ready for it the effect can scare the shit outta you...
Baz was retired last weekend too
Cheers

Could it be your tyres?
I just got new tyres (Bridgestone ER592) and they have a softer sidewall than what i had on there before, and the car feels like it sways a bit more in sharp cornering
