the manifold is back from the welder Im impressed others who saw it looked scared :)

it is sitting quite tall with the little air cleaner on it

I think it will be a case of either modifying the original subaru air cleaner or building an air box to some type of pod

I can't wait to see it drown the engine

in my honest opinion there is way way less work this way

and mostly to prove it can be done and because the motor was FREE so was the holley and the manifold as well and unless there is a FREE computer, harness (cut down and ready to go), fuel injection suitable fuel pump and all the other sensors and bits and pieces available this is for me a cheap and viable option.

and the way I see it and always will no ECU means no limp home mode, I don't have to hope that the computer is getting the right information from sensors that can and do send erroneous information to said computer etc. if the module in the distributor shuts down I can easily pull it out and replace it (cheaply and quickly on the side of the road, sand dune, swamp etc).

and I can adjust the fuel mixture and advance or retard the timing to suit my liking and finally if the people who put these motors in to ultralight aircraft do it the same way (for obvious reasons) why not I say

and finally sometimes old school is better for the application needed / intended

TJS care to sponsor me then? so I can "stay with EFI?"

this brings to mind a famous saying by one of those rock climbing heroes

"because it was there..."

or ol Blue Eyes "I did it my way"

I don't have 2-3000 dollars spare to run EFI and this how I want to do it

and if i had 2-3000 dollars spare Im sure it would benefit my family more than an aftermarket EFI system

and just a quick question why are you selling your brumby if it is so reliable? :)

Thanks Dave its only a matter of time and a bit more money and it will happen

head gaskets and a carby kit for the holley are paid for and coming , need to save some money for a clutch kit, a liberty 5 speed AWD box, a tail shaft and some other bits and then put it all together

Franken-manifold! Love it!!! Can't wait to see this thing up and running!

I know I'm EFI converted, but if you know what you're doing and how to get there, go for it ;) Can't wait to see the end result!

Cheers
