Battery of remote

Post by kafka » Tue Jun 22, 2010 11:13 am

The battery for my remote key has died. The last time I bought one from a dealer it cost me $17. If I could find it in a supermarket it would cost about $3. I suspect that this is excessive but I am so far unable to find a replacement. I have a 2007 Impreza and the battery is a Panasonic CR 1820 3v.

Any suggestions as to places I could find one cheaper than $17?

Tandys
Bunnings
Chemist
Dick Smith
KMart
Target
Battery World

They're everywhere where you would find Camera Batteries & watch battery places...

Jaycar is another. Ebay too if you need them in bulk. I used to go through CR2032s every few days in a TENS unit so got them from HK in about four days at 48 cents each including postage in lots of 20. Local prices were $3.50 to 6.00 each depending on how convenient the store was.

Don't you mean CR1620 batteries?

Go back to your dealer and tell them you want a "SAS2002" which is a single CR1620 battery for $3.18 or "SAS2001" is a pack of 5 CR1620's for $15.90.

How true...

Paid $9 late at night at the old Mambrey Creek servo 10 years ago!

Where else was I going to go?

The month you spend waiting for them to arrive makes it pointless its easier to buy them from your local Chemist.
