Guess it is how the media works - everyone watching or listening would have almost forgotten Rockhampton was the centre of attention with water extremes

We were talking about that at work today. Now Brisbane has flooded, all the attention seems to have been diverted to there. I guess that's just how it goes and how the media works. Has the water in Rocky gone or whats happened.????

Same thing happened in 2009, NQ flooded and the media focused almost entirely on the Saturday Fires at Kinglake in Vic., I'm not saying that NQ was more needy of reporting but the media just forgot all about them.

think international news has taken a step back as well. In reality what media unit is gonna hang around anywhere else but where there is bigger news in Toowoomba and Brisbane
