Dremel style multi tool brush supply wanted

I have a Dremel style multi tool that uses Dremel style and size bits for all sorts of things.

In the past I have used the original Dremel brand wire brush at about $15 each, and cheap Chinese copies that come in a kit full of useless bits and pieces for about $7.

Funny thing is the cheapo ones last longer..... the junk shop that used to sell the kits no longer sells, always the way too.....

Does anyone have a good source of these bits from ebay or somewhere in the middle of the land of China.

I use these wire brushes to clean engine blocks, heads and the nasty little sealant trails of EA82 cam boxes.......a task that I have put off for too long. Now got no choice

Anyone know of a parts exchange service where you can exchange sealant encrusted EA82 cam cover boxes for nice clean ones??

Or what dissolve the gasket goo. Normal building industry silicones can be dissolved with turps...but this stuff (Loctite Max grey grey max?) no way.......

industrial paint thinners? aka tolulene or acetone

or some sort of paint stripper (could attack the ally)

or a wire brush on a grinder (very brutal only ally)

Most paint stripper will stain aluminium...I've tried acetone on similar silicon-based sealants and it didn't break it down at all. I spoke to a few people in the paint industry and they could only suggest scraping away at it (even sand blasting won't get it off).

Maybe original Dremel bits from the US in bulk through eBay ? The weight wouldn't be much.

finally -- used the word cup brush and rotary on ebay and found them ! Pack of ten for under $7 posted free from China. Got a set of flat and set of cup.

Using dremel or accessories was bad in search.

Sorry Gerry - if only you sold what I wanted I'd buy local, stuff you bought overseas to put a mark-up on for me to pay as well to keep you and your stores afloat

I've had Dremel for years, but I use airpower for the big stuff.

My favourite for the Dremel is the 25mm cutoff wheels.

im looking at buying some dremels (plural, prob about 3) for the scouts with sanding disks and wire cups just to clean up the paint and any rust on our project

ill have an AC to run my bigger stuff but i dont want them ripping fingers off, yes a dremil will rip it off but hand placment is better

Are there slightly larger cutoff wheels for die grinders?
I need to cut a wide slit in an awkward place. Too narrow for an angle grinder or a drill. I have to recaptivate a couple of captive nuts.

for cleaning the gunk off try the plumbers priming fluid they use when glueing plastic pipes to gether. they use a red one, which stains, but it is also available in clear in 500ml bottles, most plumbing shops will have it. I use it all the time it will remove some silicones and glues that nothing else will touch. It has the bonus you can get high on as well so don't use in confined space. I have not tried it for this removing this gunk but for 8 or 9 bucks what is there to lose? and you can still use it for plumbing.
