Gen II weather shields

Post by Floss » Sun Nov 27, 2011 6:56 pm

Hi All

I live in Central Queensland and would like to fit weather shields to the windows (1998 Gen II Bilstein Edition Sedan ) so I can leave the windows down a little during the summer months to keep the interior a little cooler. I have read of others that have had these for sale (in this forum in 2007) but I haven't seen a similar car fitted with them (frameless windows) or a photo of how they are fixed to the body. (If they are fixed to the roof, how do you open the door with the window up?)

Could anybody point me to a supplier or recommend an alternative.

thanks

You "might" be able to get MONSOON'S from Subaru or a Jap importer, they are stuck to the side of your roof with double sided tape and there are tabs that fit under the trim above your door and they utilise the screws that are hidden by the rubber, they are not long enough to hit the window when it's up.

I fitted a set to the WRX but ripped them straight off as I use the roof to pull myself out of the car and cracked it before I even moved the car lol. I also had a set for a Gen 3 wagon ones which I sent east, they won't fit a Gen 2 either....I tried them on mine.

Hey d generate

thanks for the reply. I still haven't been able to find a supplier. I'll keep looking.
