They aren't actually that serious, it just has to be there because its a official club.

Crikey, bit over the top isnt it? I'd love to attend with fuel tank 3/4 full just to "stick it to the man"! hehehe :p
Or change the vehicle order, lol. or turn my fog lights on (if I had some), or answer via CB out of turn & I would definately "leave the convoy" on regular occasions for photos or to "drain the lizard" :p

Whilst organised runs bring safety in numbers, I have heard some rather odd stories about what happens if you step ourt of line on one of these runs. Or for that matter don't have the right tyre pressures :)

I'm somehow still in the club, and am always finding new ways to drive my subaru offroad, like reversing up sand dunes in lancelin? and getting bogged while crabwalking side on in sand dunes? so its not that bad?
This Trip will be a cruzy beach run, there is almost no challenging 4wdriving, but a very nice run along the beach with fellow subaru's.
Keen for a swim, maybe even a fish...

Shouldn't that be "upwind" or have I got my upwind and down winds the wrong way around??

So long as it's not labelled a "beach 4wd trip" like a "snow 4wd trip" was labelled last year where we drove around for a day literally looking for patches of snow on the back of Mt Baw Baw - I came down from the ACTUAL snow to attend. I had more fun camping with a couple of mates!

Sounds like the 2007 WA end of year bbq :D Good times!

The trip should be good, don't judge a book by its cover. So i will see how it goes.

Since coming don to perth and eing here fr 3 days I have gone through 3 tanks for fue, 1500km. About 500-600 per tank which is pretty good considering its been loaded up. Ran 3 cans of Subaru upper engine cleaner through and im still smoking out the street, it just keeps coming. lol

Oh and the aircon isn't taking the water out of the car, its flooding the passenger footwell. Somehow there is a crack in the bottom of the unit, good thinkk for the rubber bucket matts.

that won't be a crack in the unit, it will be the rubber drain hose which will have either come off or split.

Have fun on Suba-Sunday.

I was advised to do a few cans too. Apparently 1 can is enough to dislodge "bits" of carbon which can then interfere with valves, rings etc, which would explain your oil consumption & my continued misfiring & poor fuel consumption.

Getting couple more cans Monday....

+1. The rubber drain hose comes out at the bottom of the A/C then goes through the firewall.
