Big red brumby
Hey guys this is new to me so sorry if ask silly questions.
Pick up my targa top brumby (1988) a few weeks ago ive had on before but was in no condition for a build-up. ive done a straight swap engine before but gonna take on the chalenge of a ej conversion.
Future plans/thing ive done over the last week.
First thing sound system! im running two 15" rockford foscates off a 1000w rms mono block and a 200w rms 4 channel running a pair of pioneers and a pair of jvc's in the door (new speakers down the track) i have no deck running a headphone jack strait to the rca's (for the people who know what that means)
As i have no cd player i am filling in the gap with a 5"tacho (photos will be uploaded)
The interior is quite shot so gonna have to do something about that (thinking a new carpet mould and new seats and interior paint for the rest thoughts would be good)
Have a roll bar for the back which im currently preping for paint and want a front bar at some stage.
picking up a set of 14" today and building a lift kit (will upload photos of my homemade kit) and tyres which i will choose down the track.
At first i was going to go the ej22 and l series 5 speed but i think im gonna be patient and save my pennies and notch the chassi and go an ej20turbo
im not sure about gearboxes but i recently found out that there is a wrx that has a Awd box with electronic locker but alot more research needs to be done and the disc brake conversion goes without saying with the power upgrade (thinking a complete wreck wrx probably be the cheapest way if i can find one)
Thoughts and comments would be greatly appreciated

The struts offset will be adjustable and I am going to use re-enforced c-beam instead of blocks and have two bolts rather than longer bolts.
I drought it from malaga car sales his biggest mistake was not putting it on gumtree only place it was advertised was the quokka on-line which I don't think gets many hits.

have drove it i little in the rain seems all good seals around the roof all look in really good condition and vinyl does seem like the better option after a day on the beach lolrubisubi wrote:Great project mate, check the roof doesnt leak as mine did and it's quite annoying driving with water dripping on you. Go for vinyl floor coverings if possible as carpet is a right pain if they get mud on them.
