Hey fellas,

Been pretty friggn unlucky lately, had someone rear end me in my van so I've been driving the little Subaru around for the last 2 weeks. Got some q's that some of you might be able to help me with. First off, will this fit an EA81?

Mine is pretty warn and I spent a good hour today trying to get a spark back. Don't ask me why is stopped, cause I don't know. Points are pretty worn. Next question, fuel economy, at the moment, I'm getting about 380km to 50L of gas. That's terrible (around 6.7km to the ltr). Checked out the carb, no leaking anywhere I can see. Checked the timing tonight, looks ok. Advances ok with rpm. Anyone got any other idea's? Might jack up the wheels and see if they spin free but pretty confident it's not the issue at hand. Should I just cut my losses and buy a new carb? I know the accelerator pumps a bit knackered, feel it when I put some gas on. Can anyone help me out. Dash still a no go, but I havent looked at it sense last time.

Regards

Doug

Hi,

Got a new dash today, straight out of an 82 touringwagon. It's the analogue variant though and some of the plugs are different on the back. Going to pin it out tomorrow but thought I'd ask if there's some info somewhere about doing it that will make it quicker? I searched for about an hour but couldn't find anything.

Still haven't given the digi dash the bin though. New caps, Nope, new 5v psu, nope. I will get it working.

Regards

Doug
