Hi guys. This is my Brumby's dyno results comparing when i got it and when I fixed the timing and did the usual leads,plugs,exhaust,rotor and cap and carby kit. Pics of the Brumby are coming too. All the dyno'ing was for me to know what it has before i put in the EJ22 and AWD Driveline. Thanks Daniel for the motor and wiring. Will strip it now and build it up.

Thats the bad timing run with a semi-blocked primary jet and bleeding accelerator pump.

After the adjustments and changes listed above with both before and after AWD runs

And this is the other half for the 2wd run.

i must say that is temporary. i have a full time bull bar maker who is going to make front and rear customs for me. But i didn't like all the bars on a small ute, so yes, i agree. Cheers

Thats an impressive, tidy little brumby you've got there, the cut down bumper is a nice touch but personally I still prefer the beefyness of the full bull bar, each to their own

I'm sure you'll love the difference the EJ22 and AWD makes, I know I'm looking forward to it.

Seems to be a great time for an EJ conversion, everyone seems to be doing it, in theory this means there should be plenty of questions and hopefully plenty of answers out there too, it'll be fun for everyone

Hi baron. i am more than likely going to be the slowest at this conversion. i have wiated 18 months to get the brumby. Now that i have it, the missus is pregnant. So between getting the mo' for this, i have another brumby to buy so i have still got a work car, and a baby to pay for on top of the 2 we have. lol i forgot the renovation on the house. Always forget that. Especially when buying brumby parts...lmao

no that bar material is commonly obtained, I think its stock for building custom tail bars for large 4wds. Been a few years but I think it cost me < $250 to have it made up, about the same or less than a new plastic bumper I
would have needed at the time,
should of had the option of putting a bend in the front, the welder said later he could have.....better than just flat straight ... well next time..

My new bar will have 2 slight bends in it. They will be level with the outer edges of the grille. Sort of like a wrap around effect.

Here's the side indicator in clear. A vast improvement on white but would be killer on darker colours.

nice job on the indicators, i had a dual headlight brumby and swapped the indicators to the parker position (just incase you want clear corners):)

Well here is the next update. The disc brakes for the rear. I have had to delay the 2.2Lt and AWD as we are having a baby, so small spending only is permitted. I had deposited 500 on the gearbox, disc brakes and lsd diff, so steve kindly gave me the disc rear end off an L series.
Job is Really easy. I didn't opt for the l series arms with sway bar as I was informed the back end would be far to stiff. I listen sometimes...lol Anyone that wants good parts for their brumby, keep in touch as the parts that come off this vehicle are almost all in good condition.

Have you had any success with the method that you were going to try to change the stud pattern.
I am interested in something that is simple and will be no problems with getting engineered.

That method would work really well to convert to a 4X90 pattern.

Hi guys. I have now completed 15,000 kms on the hub and 15" rim conversion, including a straight through trip to Canberra. i did blow a uni shaft on the return but it turned out to be an inner joint on the shaft. Hence i replaced that shaft at Deniliquin then when arriving home, replaced all wheel bearings and the other shaft.
The initial measuements for the conversion were taken off the one end of the vehicle(4/100). It turns out that the other end is a different disc to hub pattern(4/90). Anyway, here is an updated pic of the ute.

It has new lowered front springs with the top bushes to be replaced next. The old radio has been pulled and a USB,MMC, dvd player installed temporarily in the old dash till a mate helps me with a custom centre drop. Butted against the back of the cab, between the seats is 2 6x9" 4 way speakers helping liven up the ride. The exhaust sounds much better now. Straight 2" inch drop pipes with a vn Calais Cat and a flowing (not milo tin) rear muffler. not mandrel bends as it is still a 1.8lt.
