Oh ok. Nope it won't void the warranty. I actually bought the LSD before I bought the gearbox planing to get bits together to do one later this year. the box just happened to go sooner than I was hoping.El_Freddo wrote:So let me get this right, new reconditioned gearbox with warranty but no LSD, you've got an LSD to fit but have to split the gearbox to fit it?? I'm not sure that this is a wise move if there's an issue with this box under warranty...
It's not the LSD that needs adjusting, it's the diff settings with the preload and backlash that needs to be set correctly.
It will get fit sometime but I really don't know when

I did previously have Castrol stuff in and it was sh1t. I then swapped to Penrite LSD (good sh1t anyway) which was ~$55 a bottle (2.5l to a bottle) and this made it shift much better. I didn't put the Red Line Light Weight stuff in as thats around $200 for 5L. I will again be putting the Penrite stuff in this week when the box goes in. Hopefully the box will be here tomorrow otherwise TuesdayReally? RIPPED!!! I'm using an LSD oil in my gearbox at the moment - it shifts better with this stuff, looks like oil but certainly didn't cost $100 for 5L!!

Really??? I have the LSD sitting in the boot of the car. Currently no plan of when it will be going in...d_generate wrote:Tazza if you've got an OBX diff I think it just gets thrown straight in as is.
