Ea81 very loud ticking

Pushrods have an orientation?
Is yours solid or hydrolic ajbuwalda?
I might need to know that for when I put my engine back together.

They look just like an old Falcon pushrod lifter, so much so i nearly had to get technical to separate some . In the block itself was a sleeve like a machined little end bushing for each lifter. No pics as they have gone to China (block) and WA (lifters)

Nah its ok, you would have to split the block.
Just curious as to the pushrod orientation and this handgrip looking thing.

i had 2 ea81s when i first got my brumby 1 had hydralic lifters and the other had solid so yes they do exist subaru will selll u solid ones cause thats what i had to buy when i got my cam reground
