Just around the tops of the door cards. I had the material left over from when i wrapped my center console in my Civic. I think it stands out just enough without looking redic.

p.s put that trim panel on you sent! Looks complete now 8)

When i check the codes though it only displays a startup code (11) which i thought is always displayed?

Anyone know where i can find a diagnostics procedure for a 97 Legacy?

I haven't taken it for a test drive yet to see if the ABS is functioning again, i'm just assuming it's not because the light is on.
diagnostic codes/procedures are in the book.

Haha, i can't afford to get caught speeding.

Turns out the front right sensor cable is rubbing on the tyre, and has rubbed through, so i'll replace the sensor hopefully that clears the codes :)

I've been in Japan for the last few weeks for a holiday and picked up some brochures while i was over there... I collect old car literature (I'm a wierdo, haha).

Anyway, found some oldschool Subaru love! Maybe someone on here might get a kick out of it!

Nev, someone is calling you (and a few others) - a weirdo
My oldest piece is a diagnostic flow chart for better engine operation from an American magazine - 1924

Got a kick out of it. Gees, you didn't think to get it translated while you were over there did you?

And, look, see the Japanese refer to the 4 speed electronic tranny as E-4AT not as 4EAT as often used in here.....

Heading to the monthly downshift meet if anyone wants to come say hey, ill be in the battle wagon :P

Image

On a side note, i replaced the damaged ABS sensor re-checked the codes and the opposite side tripped it this time... I checked the resistance like it states in the diagnostics procedure and got nothing, so time to replace that sensor as well!

Well, was looking the car over to make sure nothing obvious would fall off tonight.

Then i realised the alt+pwr str belt was on its last legs. I dunno how id missed it before this...

Image

Once i took it off, the bottom half of the belt still looked ok.. So every other im i've opened the bonnet the motor must've stopped with the good half facing up, lol.

Anyway, new belt installed. If all goes well, i'll have vids of how i go tonight! What do you guys reckon, old leone wagon... 19 second 1/4?

:P

Shave off the rest! I don't really know what's required for times etc with power etc, but I'll throw it out there for a 12.something sec quater mile. And that's just a random guess.

Have fun!
