Dave, Wave Rock is really overated. Dont know why the granny tour buses keep going out there, must be something for those who dont go bush much!
I worked at Bounty Gold Mine in the early '90s. Its was NE of Hyden, and where the Holland Track starts - goes diagonally all the way to Coolgardie.
Good single track driving. Look for 4WDriver booket for full details.
There is also a dirt road that cuts across from there to Norseman, great shortcut for going east (BYB BBQ??)
I used to use a track cutting back to Muntagen to Bruce Rock out there too.
Word of caution, this time of year it can get real wet and boggy out there.
Cheers, Roger

Dave this is the trip i was talking about only we were going to do it on the return from Kal. We have been ot Wave Rock and well worth the effort if you have not been out there before - also rich in Aboriginal cultural (in places). I would think that the girls would be up for it so i'll confirm and let you know. Any ideas on a date when you were going to go?subanator wrote:I worked at Bounty Gold Mine in the early '90s. I am aware it's not as great as they make out it is... just thought it was somewhere new to go and a site that maybe we should get to see some time... even if it does suck. If you expect nothing then it should be ok.
If not many are interested im still keen... Carla and I both want to see this rock thingo... even if it's just for 5 minutes.
