YEs the car is a UK registered Jeep.

and It looks like it was shot in some local wood somewhere in the UK.

The UK MOT (Ministry of Tranport) is the name given to the road worthy tests.Similiar to Australia's rego (ie blue and pink slips !).

A car of that age can rust away quickly compared to a similiar age Aus car.The primary reason is rocksalt.

Winter's in the UK are quite severe and the local councils throw rocksalt on the road to de ice it.Its effective but mix that with water and you have a metal eating mush that go's all over the car.It eats everything,I was surprised when I first came to Australia about the lack of "exhuast" shops or muffler shops, over in the UK they are everywhere. The rock salt will eat through a muffler in 2-3 winters,I know from experience. Also car's in Australia dont suffer from this threat and thats why there seems to be a lot of older cars on the road (anything over 10 years at a guess).

The law's are now stricter over there but in the late 80's I had a Mini and a Ford Fiesta that had a patchwork quilt of plates welded to repair the footwells.I could even see the passengers front wheel from the drivers position.

So in answer to the question it looks like the car would have been drivable but not legal on the road.
