Still here

Haven't been on the forum since about October or November last year.
Life got too complicated and I needed to take some time to chill.
With my father passing away in December 2012, Mum in April 2013, clearing their house out 150ks away, selling their house, paying our house off to be debt clear, buying a new house to go back into debt, currently trying to get our old house ready for sale (this will take till later in the year) all seems like a blur now but it all happened so quick.
The good news is I still have the 82 MY Touring wagon which has only probably done 250 ks in the last 12 months but at least I still have it.
It needs some work now but I will pose some questions in the correct topic area in the near future.
Hopefully I can get on here more often now though I don't see myself going back through all the pages of New Topics I have missed in the last 6 months or so

I guess this sort of thing effects everyone at some stage.
Doesn't make it any easier though.

Thanks for the thoughts.
The MY certainly is a distraction no matter what.
It will be good to get it back on the road once I sort out the fuel pump issue, then the rear brake overhaul and rear wheel bearings and front brake hoses.
Always something to do.
Life goes on at the same time.

Glad to hear your still here and getting on with Life. Very sad to hear about your folks and like you say, it's part of life. Keep a stiff upper lip and we're here if you need us.

What sort of fuel troubles are you having?

Thanks for the message, with Mum and Dad getting to 84 and 87 respectively, we talked about death a fair bit so it was no surprise when it all happened.
All the talking in the world doesn't prepare you for the actual thing.
All Ok with things and moving along.
Re the fuel issue, the MY's diaphragm fuel) pump is on the way out and I have purchased another pump off ebay which is an ECCO SU type diaphragm pump (P/N 15LM12).
It arrived on Thursday afternoon and we were out of town so it is sitting in the post office till Monday (bugger).
It looks like a reasonable, direct replacement for the original pump so I will see how it goes.

Yeah.. nothing really can prepare you for it. 84 and 87 are pretty good innings, so got to be happy for that. All the best in the future mate.

That ECCO pump looks like it should do the job nicely. Just remember to change out the fuel filter too. I'd even put one down the back if yours doesn't have it.
