Where can I get a good L series alloy bullbar?

Post by Marty » Thu Sep 07, 2006 7:42 pm

G'day people, I'm keen to set up my L series subi for a bit of offroad work down the track a bit, I may be moving from Melbourne to Brissy next year and the idea of trips to Fraser Island etc. are going through my mind. I thought I'd get busy and do some research on what I should do to it. My plans are to fit it with a solid alloy bullbar, 3" body lift and 27 X 8.5" tyres. These shouldn't be too hard to source but where can I get a good alloy bullbar? Do manufacturers still make them for the L series or are they too old? What manufacturers have the best product? I plan on keeping the Subi for a long time to come as it only has 170,000km so I don't really mind throwing a few dollars at it. Cheers, Marty.

Thy are crap bars and massively $$$ for what they are/look like (my 2c).
Toyota 105 Series LandCruiser (that nobody on here wants to really hear about).
RX Touring Wagon - fitted out for 4WDing (currently collecting dust).
RX Project - will be road only at this stage (and currently taking way to long to finish).

if you had a like new (and I mean like new) front bumper as part of an exhange, I know someone with a great bullbar he'd love to get rid of

problem is his car the most immaculate L series ive ever laid eyes on so he won't settle for a sub par bumber in return ;)

Mine is an older design. I rekon it looks more stylish to the newer Irvine ones but the newer ones are definitely more robust and provide alot more protection.
