Jarrahdale.. no more??

Post by SuBaRiNo » Fri Nov 11, 2005 8:57 pm

I have had un-confirmed reports that the Jarrahdale camping grounds have been closed off due to an increase in hoons (commodore drivers) in the area.

Sad to see that place no longer available to the public as i think it was the closest camping area too us.

I hopfully will get a chance to venture that way on Sunday to check out what has been closed off and check out if the offroading tracks in the area have been effected also.

I doubt very much that the area will not still be highly accessable to Subarus as the man made forrest seams to have had the trees planted far enough apart for us to venture directly through the bush.

A quick google search confirmed my fears.

Makes u wonder how much exactly the fine would be for venturing in there.

If they made a barrier so that only 4wd vehicles could get in it would be good.

A dare so they will end up policing the area with a duty ranger and boom gates etc.. I bet it will cost money to camp there too.

Althouth the place has that many back enterances i can't see us ever having to pay.

hmmm very possible... i recall in my youth... driving about Jarrahdale with 3 people sitting in my roof racks on pillows... a person hanging off the tow ball at the back and a few hanging out windows. That was back when i had the wagon.

And there was the time I tagged along in my RWD unlifted wagon, hanging the tail on every corner. Oh, and we did donuts for the best part of an hour that same trip....

Hey 4MUFF how come your signature says the Tourer is your daily, and the sports wagon is the bush basher?

Wasn't the new car you just bought a Tourer with 3" lift ?

Another thing... On sunday we recieved a warning by a security guard at Kwinana Offroad. Apparently as far in as where the mud is located is private property and only a very small section of bush land near the Thomas Rd end is for offroading.

There were security guards at the Kwinana off road area.... No wonder their shopping centre is as dodgy as it is.

ACTUALLY!!! I've just had a thought.....maybe they've closed Jarrahdale because there were reports of glow-in-the-dark monsters who trip over logs.

Just a thought though.

AHAHA yeah highly possible Caity. And yes the security guards in the middle of the bloody bush does seam a little odd considering the crime rate in the residential areas of kwinana is soo high.
