Me and a mate went to a swap meet some months back.

I scored a box of Suttons drill bits - the viper bits for $85 CHEAP

and me mate who is yet to learn his lesson at this time, bought a $35 set of drill bits. He has accused others of stuffing his new drill bits when finding blunt or bits missing. NOW last night he begins to suspect he has been dudded. He selected his 3.2mm drill bit to drill through a number plate for some rivetting stuff and comes to show me his new drill bit for tight spots - a right angled drill bit !! Yep , he pushed a bit too hard and did not break it like some of us do - he bent the thing to a right angle as if it was mild steel .. hang on a minute those drill bits may just be mild steel for drilling plastics or play dough or something !!

One day it may just sink in ...spend some money on tools of trade

yeah I hate when a tool is supposed to work and doesn't. I got a set of wire strippers once, those ones that take off the insulation/cover for you as you squeeze them. I have had a good set before but lost them somehow. Anyway, every single time I tried to strip a wire, it just made a god-awful mess of it somehow (yes I used it properly). Piece of ****e, I ended up just being careful with a set of side cutters.

Spend the money people.
