Changing CVs - HELP

Post by tommo » Fri Mar 02, 2007 6:24 pm

Hey guys,

Well it turns out my CVs are stuffed as well as my tailshaft, so I bought replacement outer joints for the front.

I'm half way through changing them and I'm stuck. I can't see how the outer joint actually comes off... There's no split rings or circlips or anything that I can see.
Hopefully I haven't missed anything stupidly obvious..

Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Tom.

With a really big hammer.
In my oppinion it is easier to just replace the whole front shaft complete , lot less stuffing around

yep bfh.the circlip is internal. You need to grip the shaft while belting the cv you want to remove.

Thanks everyone.
I would've much rather just replaced the whole shaft but I was trying to save money, might not be worth it though.

Tom.
