just need to replace the whole shaft. without taking the wheel off.... as i have lost my lock nut... Oppps :{

Should be doable with the wheel on...
Are u able to drive the car?
If you can manage a trip down to Girrawheen cruise down to mine the weekend, there will be much Subaru work happening there.

Actually thinking about it, having the wheel there might make it abit harder to separate the hub from the base of the strut, if you could find/borrow/buy a new key for the lock nut that would probably help. Should be a quick changeout otherwise if you've got the new shaft standing by :)

you can normally just hammer a suitable sized socket over the the locknut so its a tight fit.....

Yeh have tried that waggaclint I need a 17.5mm socket as 18 is to big and 17 to small. any other ideas

lol just like the last one i tried to organise something has come up and i have to change the dates for this trip.
apparently mum is having a big party for her 50th that w/e and i didnt know until just the other day. so yeh if u want to stay in my shack the following weekend would be better. (21/22nd april) sorry for the **** around.

i spose it does give the ej boys some more time.
(for those who have time off etc i may go up on the wed or thurs 12th and stay till the w/e if there is enough interest)

so whats your availabilities?
