Differences would be the input shaft from the motor - no dual range. I don't know if this will stop you with the gearset swap. The drive shaft to the diff would be shorter as there is no centre diff to feed power to. This would be your other problem.

If you know an engineer or machinist you could have all the gearsets pushed off the shafts and swap them over with the good gearsets. Probabily more expensive than getting another dual range box and swapping over any "good bits" that have been put in with the conversion... This would be the way to go if you were doing it yourself, does mean some time off the road for the car but it will keep the hip pocket happier.

if it was RS Box Australian import would be 3.9:1 and rear diff would be 3.545. Unless its a Jap box.

To spilt EJ boxes aren't hard - I think its same as EA box.

Best way is to take apart and grab vernier gauge and measure.

I heard the current gearbox was already swapped out once in that car since that sale, I might be wrong though. Pretty sure.
I guess it would have to be a 4.11 jdm still though to match the rear diff.
