Hey vicco 4 wheelers!
As some of you most likely already know, Blackmale (aka Jaffa) will be in melb for a few days. I'm keen for a day in the cobaw state forest if anyone would like to join us.
Cobaw state forest is about an hour north of melbourne. Towns nearby for reference are: Lancefield, Newham, Kyneton (which is a little out of the way but a good marker anyway).
I grew up riding my bike in this area so know the main roads up there pretty well, the 4wd roads keep changing and there are heaps of new ones around from my last visit (about a week ago).
If anyone's interested we could meet up in kyneton at the train station if no one can pick up BM from melb on their way, or if someone can grab him we could meet at the Carlsruhe BP and convoy from there - about a 10 minute drive to the forest from BP or a 15 - 20 min drive from kyneton train station.
Dunno about time yet, if we want to make the most of the day the earlier the better. If BM catches the train we'll meet up at the time of the train's arrival in kyneton - this will have to be organised later to the date.
Bring a packed lunch.
Any takers post here pls. I won't have net access til monday week (26NOV).
Cheers
Bennie
Saturday 01DEC07 - Blackmale 4wd day - interested?
Im interested but my car definately needs some work before I can venture out.
Ive a new grinding sound at the front when reversing with the steering wheels turned. Im guessing ball joints or wheel bearings but ill let him work it out. And my tyres are slicks almost, and are dry weather only (im waiting to lift and go 14"s)
I'll try get my mechanic to have a look at it this week, but it takes time as it's more a favour he's doing. Hopefully he'll have time to put in my lift and shocks.
