We actually know of a third one in WA, unfortunately it is owned by some kind of car mechanic who knows what it is worth and legend has it, it's destinted to become some kind of lowered street machine.

Okay - I'm ignorant. :?

Can someone please tell me why hatches are so all-fascinating? Looking through my eyes, they look like a short wheelbase 2 door touring wagon.

Are they a grey import job, or were they sold by Subaru Australia?

The hatches were never sold by Subaru Australia and apparently there is less then 10 in Aus, I imagine they were all privately imported.

Im going to choose not to read that post out aloud to hatchie Jack.

Isn't Mexico the breeding ground for hatches... i heard they all drive over there when they can't pass emisions in america.

with the shorter wheelbase than the brumby and wagon, and the lightest of all the offroading subarus, the hatch would have to be the best offroader that's ever been released from the subaru factory.

as mentioned, rarer than the proverbial rocking horse you know what ;)

look after her, vidler :D

Dave, ah......Mexico here in reference is.....er.......commonly refered to as Victoria Australia, as in south of the border....ha...ha.
Maybe you do know something of the great Hatchie burial ground secretly somewhere over in Mexico, or is that just to throw the rest of us of the scent where you REALLY find them in the west.....lol.

Mexico, as in the real Mexico not Victoria, really is a breeding ground for Hatches.

A lot of the US imported ones have ended up there apparently.
