Having a little gremlin in my system. I went up the shop the other day, car ran perfectly. Stopped, went into the shop, came back out, started the car and it was only running on 3 cylinders. After getting RACQ and a local Mobile mechanic out, all seemed to point to a coil as there was no spark on one cylinder.
Luckily, my Uncle lives near a Subie wrecker, so he grabbed a coil pack and brought it over. Fitted it, started it 4 cylinders again ..... sweet

Next morning (today) took the son to school, started on 4, but after about 3klms it was missing a little bit. Stopped at the school, walked him to class, came back, started it, and back on 3 again, and seemed to run rougher and rougher all the way home. Phoned my main mechanic who said it may be a faulty coil pack. Before I go through all the dramas again, has anyone else had this issue and does anyone have any ideas on what it may be or whats causing it?
I am a pensioner, so when you spend your last dollar on a coil pack and the problem persits........... ya kinda get a little discouraged with Subies.
Mine is a 97 RX 2.5 AWD wagon as seen in my avatar (i think)
Cheers and thanks in advance
