Fuel Smell
Fuel Smell
Have an intermittent strong fuel smell 92 Liberty inside cabin.
I have not looked yet but I know fuel lines travel thru cabin on passenger side, anyone encounter this problem before?
Cheers

i was going to say, the fuel lines/hoses could be cracking up and would be worth looking hard onto... Specially in engine area.

Thanks. Obvious not common problem.
Hoses under bonnet are fine. I pulled glovebox out yesterday and fuel line disappear behind fan box.
Smell evident when air on recycle. A/C checks ok, no leaks, I had the boys test it so it will be fuel lines.
Can I get fan box out without removing the a/c condensor?

Just check to make sure your 'purge solenoid' is working correctly and is connected to the carbon cannister.

Fuel filter changed every 10,000km
Purge solenoid checked and re-checked
This problem has been intermittent and plagued me for the last 12mths. I would love to see the set up of the 3 fuel pipes behind the A/C condensor it would appear there is a hole in the breather pipe. I have run a rubber hose from the fuel tank breather near the passenger's side rear wheel to the metal pipe breather on top of engine. No further fuel smell inside the cab. There was never a smell under the bonnet
