Reminds me of Subaman's and my younger days growing up on the parents' property. He had an old Fiat 615 tractor that we used to drive around at about 11 yrs for Subaman and 13yrs for me. 7 speed, hand throttle and full of grunt.
When dad wasn't around Grant and I would get out there and put the tractor in top gear, pull the hand throttle the whole way on, lock the back diff and then dump the clutch. We used to measure who could get the longest wheel stand out of it.
We also used to get some pretty good speed up and then slam on one of the brakes. It had 2 pedals for the back brakes and you could choose which way you wanted to spin. The engine was running pretty much flat out while doing this. The inside would skid and the outside one would keep going at the same speed with the diff unlocked. Add some mud and we had hours of fun.
Hell fun but thinking back probably just a touch dangerous.
