Are AFMs different?

Post by LongtimeAddict » Thu Sep 04, 2008 1:01 pm

Gday, my brother threw out a box of parts to be used for my ej22 conversion :cry: including the AFM. I can get a good AFM but it is a from a 92 model and my engine is an 89. Does anyone know if they are interchangable or not
Thanks for your help guys.

Speculating: I'd say that if the pin outs are the same as what you need there won't be any problems.

Doesn't your brother know that you NEVER throw anything from the shed away unless its sorted into recycling... Its always the way - you throw something out thats been in there for years and it turns out that you need it the week after it went to the tip...

Cheers

should cost you about 40 to 80 bucks from a wrecker. probably hardly anything if you can find a wrecking liberty in your local trading paper. you can even use one from a turbo RS - same part number i believe.

they're all same on ej22s but dunno abt others.. I know the feeling that you know you have it and someone else threw it away! Or you threw it away thinking you'll never use, then regret it. They're 550 new from subaru and yeah 40 bucks from wrecker, try find one that isn't oily.
Cheers
