i think u will find DANA use Uni joints not cv's.. mainly used in jeeps and fords, i beleve even the new F truck uses a dana 44 or dana 60 front..brumbyrunner wrote:Most of the front diffs found in the American Fords, Jeeps, Chevs etc. use CVs

dana 60 in standard form is good for around 600hp and 38's.. and u can buy upgrades! but most dana pumkins are on the pasingers side not the drivers so makeing them wrong for most austrian 4wds.
also looking at the size diffrence between a subaur cv and a cruzer/lux one.. its MASIVE!!! and also they dont need to cope with as much angle. as only going form a horisontal shaft to steering.
dont know if u have ever pulled a live front axel appart but its Simple and strait forward.. prob a extra 10min on top of doing a subi onesorry meant 2 at the fronts...1 at each wheel because they have to turn the wheels somehow.
they are deep inside the swivel hubs and a bitch to get out

even pics to back me up haha
dana 60 front.. in poor condition

even better one
but then again what would i know right?
