MY 92 BRUMBY 4 SPD. EVERY TIME I CHANGE GEARS 1,2,3. THERE IS A HIGH PITCH WINDING NOISE. IT FIRST BEGAN WHEN I DROVE IT HARD....SILLY, I KNOW. IT IS A VERY WEIRD NOISE, ALMOST LIKE......THIS SOUNDS STUPID, LIKE A SUPER CHARGER UNDER THE HOOD.

Yeah thats right. It might be worthwhile replace the clutch while the box is removed, saves headache later. Otherwise you can just replace the bearing itself. If it was me i'll buy clutch kit and replace whole kit.Suba wrote:Thrust bearing , pull the box out and replace the thrust bearing , cheap and relitivly easy job.

You will also need an An L clutch cable as the release is on the other side of centre line. L clutch plate is different to the MY clutch plate, you will also need an L series tailshaft. You will also need to match the box ratio with the diff raito. If you get stuck give us a ring.
