liberty is sold

Post by vidler » Mon Oct 27, 2008 6:11 pm

as title suggests, liberty is moving onto new owner. as for how much, less than half of what i've put into it. but im glad to see it go coz i can concentrate on my house now and im 1 step closer to a new forester.

going to use some of the $$$ to get my b4 fixed and licensed etc etc coz im itching to get that done. just going to pay the man to do the grafting of a new front cut then ill set to work bolting it back together and trying to remember where all the f#cking vacuum hoses go:)

this also means my trailer will be laying dormant for a while as i wont have a vehicle to tow it, so keep your eyes peeled for the start of the camper trailer conversion.

oh and the other thing, mine and caity's wedding is set for the 20th feb 2010 so we're going to be saving for that too.

cars, houses, weddings, camper trailers = a shitload of $$$

hopefully the new owner gets some trouble free time with it. should do after all youve spent. i have been checking it out recently. i can see its nose sticking out the driveway from erindale rd when i drive past :)

good luck for the next few projects.

Thats good news Jay... Just wish we got to take it out on the tracks a bit to test her out. Pitty you had such a rough trott with it.

As for towing your trailer.... ohh please can we get a photo of it behind the hatch. It's seriously way bigger than the hatch... would be good for a laugh.

Awww... That's a shame, I'd really liked to have see the orange beast in a little 4x4 action. Maybe the new owners will join the club?

By the way Jay, if ya need a B4 to check where all that piping goes? just give me a shout and I'll cruise over in mine :)

lol. should've assumed you had one :) i might need u to bring your tool kit over and help me with the timing covers and belt. got all the bits just need a hand doing it. i'm chasing up a mobile bloke who can unpick and graft on a new front, i just have to source a new bare half cut. not really happy with my efforts. also still need a drivers side fender and front bumper. then she's ready for action

Hahahaha... yeh there's not too many left to complete the collection now ;) 1 of those Prodrive coupes would be nice :p

I can help you out whenever you like bud and I know a guy that fixes all my subies. He usually comes around my workshop when I can't get the cars to him. As soon as I mention the folding stuff, he's around in seconds :o I can ask him if you haven't got anyone by now?
