Weizenbier is going to be put down this week for the trip, so everyone who is coming bring a pint glass or similar if you like a beer. Hopefully we can catch some fish while we are there, life doesn't get much better than beer, fish and subi's....
'91 carby L Series Wagon (White) - Stock standard - for now...

Not confirmed yet, I'll talk to Paul (86L) about times.
So far I know it as getting to the carpark at goolwa beach at 10am and then heading down to the mouth for some RnR. Probably have lunch down there too. Afterwards anyone is welcome to come back to yankalilla and have a drink or two sitting on the lawn talking subies.

Fish oil treatment?!
Thought I'd ask this here since its pretty relevant to you guys for this trip.
Will anyone be 'treating' your subi with the fish oil treatment? Anyone actually know what the benefits of this is (for beach driving)?
Cheers

I don't normally bother, I just wash the car REALLY well afterwards with the pressure cleaner on the lawn.
If you do the fish oil a week before hand (so it has some time to dry) then its good at preventing the rust, not quite as good as lanolin though. If you do it a couple of days before hand it doesn't dry properly and you'll have sand "stuck" to your car... Not good.

Anywhere that is likely to rust. Lanolin is quite expensive, but only smells like sheep not dead fish and is better at keeping the salt out.

Theres been talk by a few concerned its schoolies that weekend and with the extra police down that way its just asking for defects. Just wondering what you guys think? The way I see it we're not doing anything wrong and why would we be targeted when the police have better things to do?
Should we change what week it is? I think getting so close to Chrismas it won't work with anyone. Other possibility is to change location?
