Brumby Tonneau Cover

Post by Corax » Tue Sep 09, 2008 9:57 pm

Hey Suba-dudes,

Does anybody know if you can still buy an 'off the shelf' tonneau cover for Brumbies? Bought one from your standard auto shop a few years ago no problem, tried to repeat the process last week only to told that 'no one makes them any more'. Is this true? If so anybody know where I can get one? I need the whole setup including the support bar. I take it if I had one made up it would cost a fortune? Thanks for your ideas/thoughts guys.

Cheers,
Corax.

Fellow members have been discussing these here, showthread.php?t=9504
They're talking of fabbing up their own... Hope this helps.

Thanks Reg (and all of those who replied) one of those covers will be on the brumby asap. Would like a hard cover but no way I could afford it!

Cheers,
Corax.

Hi Reg,

Got to honest and say that I havent got there yet, been buying stuff like gearboxes and diffs etc for the conversion that I am going to do. The tonneau is on the list but I probably wont get to it until after the brumby gets a new coat of paint, and due to finances (or lack of!) I have no idea when that will be. Was going to go with your kemptons recommendation though.

Cheers,
Corax.

Bugger! <- that's for the written off brumby.

Lucky bugger! <- that's for you with your new tonneau cover. We need one for Sunnie as well.

Cheers

Hi Corax!

Did you end up buying a Tonneau Covers? What brand? and how does it look?
Well, I'm thinking of getting a tonneau cover too but I'm confuse on what's the best to have. If it is Truxedo cover I found in jcwhitney or the Access tonneau covers I found in stylintrucks.

If you're painting the car, I would fill all of your existing tonneau mounting holes.

You will find the Kempton cover good quality, but the strap points need to be lower than most.
Regards

Gary ;)
