FUEL tank specs in here

Post by steptoe » Sun Apr 19, 2009 1:01 pm

Feel free to add your fuel tank specs for your Subaru if not already model listed OR you have conflicting specs.

PLEASE: only add specs supplied by owner manual or factory manual

BRUMBY 1987 MV owners manual 55 litres

another owners manual:

MY 1984 Hardtop 4 door sedan & wagon FWD only 60 litre
MY 1984 4 door sedan and wagon 4WD & MV 55 litre
MY 1984 2 door Hatchie FWD 50 litre
MY 1984 2 door hatchie 4WD 45 litre

1988 owners manual L series
covers 2 and 4 dr sedan & 4 dr wagon 60 litre

My 3/87 L sedan turbo stopped , refill took 52 or 53 litres. Figured any remaining fuel remained in a baffled section as a sump for any crud

2000 Outback (manufactured april '99 - ten years old this month!)

64L total, according to the workshop manual, though the most I've ever had to put in it is just shy of 60 litres.
Living in Canada now. Looking at all these SVXs for sale...

91 L wagon has 60 litre capacity stated in manual, have squeezed 61 litres in from bone dry and lucky to get 500 km from a tank.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Busdriver, 91 L Enduro Wagon, stock ,for now.
Lots of Ks,A/C, MP3 sometimes(if its not dark) singing steering wheel cover which I listen too when its dark.

1994-1998 Liberty wagon and sedans are specified as 60 litre... but I have a feeling that its 64litre dry.

I've managed almost run out of fuel at arrival at the station & filled up to 62.5 litres... So I dunno the true figures..
Cheers

If you drive your car like a grandma, you might squeeze 800km out of 60L. Maybe. 800km out of 60L is 7.5L/100km - which is pretty good by subaru standards. 500km out of 60L is 12L/100km, which is pretty bad. :P
