dihatsu Scat?

Have you tried some east coast wreckers? I helped a mate do one up years ago. There were plenty of spares available in brisbane

So would it be possible to get these guys to make a new transfer case gearset for an outback? To give it a better low range gearing.

Just curious - that seems to be one of the problems with the newer subarus.

Thalass, check out Alpine Raven's Low Range EJ gearbox write up. You should beable to do this with your outback without too much trouble if you really want a decent low range.

I'm mostly just curious, as I'm not going to spend a huge amount on the outback now. But it is good to know. I may be in need of a custom gearbox or two at some stage.

I suppose it'd be pricey, though. :P

i was quoted $1200 for 2 very simple very basic cogs.

i decided not to get it done....lol.....i cant justify that much on what i was doing

but for a car like yours it may be worth it? i dont know
