Lets all join it and rock up to one of their Winery tours where they go on hardc0re offroad trips down unsealed driveways in Foresters and Outbacks.

I have read some of their club rules.

One of them is, your car has to be road legal. Another one is when 4wding you must stick to the track.

I don't think any of us fit that criteria.

I have been to one of there meetings before... The club seamed to have very very little to do with Subarus at all though. Best part was seeing soo many Subarus in the one car park... even if they were mostly Forresters.

Give the number a call Vidler and seee if thats what it is... or something new perhaps.

We have something better than a decent club , we have a group of select like mined people into Subi's that happen to turn up at the same place at the same time and head off in the same direction and end up in the same place for some fun :).
To many rules and regs can creep into organized clubs .

Your dead right Mike .
A real club has way too many restrictions and charters and politics gets involved. Not forgetting that most clubs need to carry public liability insurance to protect members  .
People end up forgetting that they only wanted to drive and enjoy there cars in the first place.

I got my vort for driving not conforming.

Trust me you don't want an organised club my friends. I've done the whole club thang before, and whether it's a Canoe Club, Aero Club, Subaru Club, whatever, it always ends in tears.

Hey, at least the take SUBARUS on the club trips, which is more than I can say for the NSW and Victoria Subaru clubs.

Simon was good to me as I bought my 5 speed off him and a heap of other bits. Was pretty helpful for info as well.

That looks like a good 'safe' club for someone that had just bought their 1st offroad vehicle & wanted some good advice & a bit of fun with like minded people.

I know the word 'safe' is not in the vocabulary of most people on this forum so I looked it up in the dictionary.

Safe adjective
1 free from danger or risk: You are safe now. 2 careful in avoiding danger: a safe driver 3 beyond or away from danger: in a safe place

I think that driving 20 year old cars that are wildly modified into places that they shouldn't go might disqualify most of us from joining a 'safe' club.
