Is that first shot taken at one of the Booloumba Creek Crossings?
Indeed - at the very first crossing. :)

Ok I've got my hands on a steering coupling/uni from a Gen II OB and the front crossmember blocks. I guess I will need some blocks for the gearbox also?

There is no blocks on steering arms mount unless you're going for 2" lift.
Measurements are incorrect. Its 1" 1/4 inches approx 30mm blocks

Thanks heaps for the photos AP!

Is a block actually fitted between those front rear control arm bushes in the Outback (second photo)? The Outback bushes I have are offset to bring the control arm down by approx 1".

I have a feeling that the steering coupling I have been given is from a Gen III Outback rather than Gen II. With the standard outback blocks fitted between the chassis and crossmember it seems too long. It's almost 2" longer (230mm) than the Liberty item (185mm).

Does anyone know 'for sure' whether or not the outback steering uni is a direct swap with the Liberty item?

C'mon QLD Liberty/Outback gurus...surely someone with experience can answer these basic questions. ;)

for some reason i thought they were an inch blocks but they aren't. Its 30mm blocks, (maybe 25mm) can you confirm Jake?
