Here is the diagram for the Crank angle sensor (dizzy) for the 88 Vortex
It should be very similar to yours.

But what are you going to join it to? You have to find the 4 wires that go to it. Im sure that the wires you show there arent the ones you want.

So what is the control unit in the diagram? Is it the 4 plug ECU, a little condensed, showing pin numbering? If so, you need to id those pins on your ECU, check the wiring at ECU end and send a trace signal down each one at a time to find the other end which should hok up to your dizzy. Easier said than done as usual.
