ARGH! Spring swap issues...
To give the wheels their idependence hence why people who get into comps leave them off same goes for the front one. They are there for the handling characteristics only. If it is left off as you go over a rise or a rock the wheel on the opposing side is free sit on the ground and get traction as it is not being held up by the sway bar.
Hope I left this in an understandable state.

Well, apart from still awaiting four more spacers to arrive (bloody auspost strike!) and then getting the wheel alignment done, the major work has been finished. So...
Before....

And now after......

Lots more photos to come, but I still need to take the after shots of measurements for clearance and the like.
Hope you like it, Scoobs definitely looks a lot beastier now!
Cheers,
Owen.

Thanks AP, it's pretty bad-ass! hahaha, yup that unfortunate damage there is from a chain link fence when I was learning to drift with four wheels... awd's don't come back around like rwd's do... Been sinking too much money and time into the engine rebuild and the lifting to bother fixing it properly... it's just primed at the moment. Will bog it back out eventually...AlpineRaven wrote:oooh man that is awesome... good on you that looks like a tough beast!!!!!! good on ya... oi what happened on the side there in the photo (below passengers doors)?

Where did you get the bull bar from it looks almost identical to my spare one at home, But how come you didn't take the bumper off to fit it?

Tex, the bullbar was an ebay find, bought it off some dude in fitzroy for $40. The brackets it came with fit perfectly around the bumper and the side wrap around as well. So its on how it's designed to fit... I know it seems odd, I'd rather it be on as a replacement as that's obviously its styling, but I'd say it was a custom made job that could be taken off and on without worrying about replacing body work.
To function as a proper replacement-style bullbar I need to have new brackets fabricated to make it sit where the standard bumber is and I think it would also need to be chopped and narrowed. It's just a matter of look now as the lift has negated the poor approach angle it used to give me... Sure I could improve it still but I think the money and effort to make it properly replace the main bumper wouldn't be worth it in terms of performance gain or looks... I'd rather keep an eye out for a proper substitute or wait until I can weld alloy. Considering I can't even weld steel, a substitute is looking the more likely option :P
