I ran my EA82T 4 plug with a NA ecu for a couple of weeks. Just beware it doesnt have the knock sense like the turbo ecu does, so drive carefully and run only 98 premium to avoid detonation.
As for your coil, its power comes from the ignition relay, so it gets power when you switch the ignition on.
Does your fuel pump cycle when you switch the key on?

ok that rules that out
i have checked the realy its got power but its not working iv bridged it with some wire and than it clicks in but than the still no power at the coil
theres nothing from the fuel pump iva. i converted it to efi and was finished well i thought i was lol. iv spent to whole day try work it out but still not goin anywhere in a hurry

The ignition relay gets power from the ignition switch, so have you got power there?

You are doin' this to an L series NA mpfi touring wagon are you ? what year, think they only came out in one year (throw rocks if I am wrong) Did you throw in EA82T and its dizzy and its coil. Which dizzy , they have numbers cast into them for better ID What markings on coil? Tried hot wiring it 12V to coil positive? the opposite side to tacho side of coil.

Yes if you get temporary 12V+ from the battery to the + side of the coil it should tell the tail .
I think by ignition relay Gannon means the computers key (ign) switched relay to power the ECU .
In my 87 WSM it shows the "Ground and Control Unit Power Supply" 2-7 P54 .
(R) Red wire from fusable link to ECU pin 62 , branch off this wire , still (R) is to the supply side of the "Ignition Relay" . It switches power via a (RW) wire which splits into two assumes just before ECU and connects to pins 27 and 35 (inputs) .
Fuel Pump Relay gets same red wire supply as above and switches power to the FP via a (L) Blue wire . The earth side of the pump is a white wire running back to pin 55 of the ECU (earth switched) . FP Rly powers up pump supply and ECU controls on/off from earth side .
Cheers A .
