Hi all,
I just finished replacing front wheel bearings on my 1994 ea82 wagon. Put it all back together and went for a drive. However the front right brake pads (and not the left) are rubbing up against the disk. Any help on how to fix this is much appreciated.
Cheers

Could you please provide more detail or some pics? Your brake pads should be riding agains the disc all the time - but when the brakes are not in use there should be little friction from the brake pads.
Just below the hand brake is a panel on the console that is flat and has a coin slot in it, pull this up and it will expose the hand brake cables. Check to see if these are even, if the right one is further forward loosen it off to match the other - make sure this is the same when the handbrake is pulled to hold the car.
Also, did you put all the brake pad shims back in on the left and the right? I think there's one behind the outside pads on each side of the subi, and one top and bottom of the pads. If the backing shims are missing you may need to screw the piston back in a little bit. That's difficult to do sometimes, but its the only way to get the piston back into the cylinder - hitting it will not do anything.
Other than that, are the slide pins lubricated and allowing the caliper to slide in and out without resistance?
