T'sunami Alert for Au
For those of you close to your coast please check your news outlets. A massive quake off Chile has generated alerts for most of the Pacific including Au. Hawaii is due to receive the wave around 11:00 am hst. T'sunami advisery for my town, either waves or rise in sea level..im 10' above sea level here, may have to figure area to watch from.

Yeah i heard about it, my brother is in Byron Bay at the moment and Ive just rung him, he said the town is preparing for it.
It'll be interesting to see how 'big' when it hits in Eastern states Australia & NZ as well.

Looks like it not a big event as far as Hawaii goes, and the adviseries on the coast here are for tide surges, mainly in harbors, rivers etc. Checked out my beach before it was due to hit here...everything looked ok

yeah, need to be light hearted about it sometimes. those shots are just a mile or 2 south of me and the ocean has taken a good 5 miles of land back.

Has anyone heard what the eta is? My Dad is over in Brissy so I might call him. I'm thinking that it will fade out by the time it reaches here but I guess they must warn everyone just in case.

No fill at this area, it has lost 5 miles of land over the last 20 years. Took a walk yesterday with my son and the pictured houses are gone. My part of the coast has been built up from this erosion, and as the ocean has started taking it back a barge from the late 1800's has appeared, or major hunks of it.
