Transfer Fees
Hi all..
I was just talking with a friend and this subject has come up a few times but now I'm thinking of doing something about it (writing to the local minister) about the costs of transfer fees. Here in WA and I'm hoping it's the same all over Aus? the fee charged is $30 per $100. Now this to me seems way too high in todays market (I know wages have gone up too) but I'm just curious to know what the percentages are between todays fees/wages to say like 30 years ago?
Any ideas?

You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.

The fee is charged at what the market value price no matter what you get the car for. On the transfer form you have to put both the price you paid and the market value, if they believe you have mislead them, you could be hit with a fine
