Steer well clear of any Kmart tyre joint. If you want to know why, PM me and I'll be delighted to share my last experience with them...

Phiz had a set of ford courier superlights on his brumby, but they were 6 stud and I think the same offset as the L/MY standard rim. They looked shmick too.

Cheers

I am pretty sure you can specify what offset you want with Performance Wheels and they will do it for you.

thats where i got my 6 stud conversion instructions from...but please as its been stated before, dont weld anything! the molecular structure of the steel changes and can cause breakages.

If you get the correct drill bit the new studs are splined towards the head of the stud, so you can just press the new studs in and they wont move.

MY and MA/MV (whichever Brumbys are) have a narrower track than L Series cars do .

There was a good thread about the 6 stud business on USMB , good pics too .
I wouldn't have a problem with six stud wheels but they have to have an offset between 48 and 55 mm .

the terrano rims i used sat inside the arches. Better offset than the speedy 14inch rims if you want to go narrower.

Sorry should have said and be 14"

Lots of light trucks/SUVs seem to be wearing 15 and 16" steel wheels but they are designed to carry a 2-3 tonne vehicle and are pressed from 5-6mm steel plate . God only knows what they weigh , far too much for a less than 1.1 tonne L Series Sedan .
