Thanks for all yr comments:D.....good idea about the coin exchange - just a pity that there wasn't any more in there! (if so the idea is viable)

Loads of goodie bits going into storage now - I would say that where UK cars score is in the interior and rubber departments. By that I mean the sun scorched interior is proper 'goosed'.

A UK car (so long as it was not beasted) would clean up and not have cracks in the dash or be sun faded.
The windscreen rubber on the cut is powdery and got me thinking......
I have seen on the site a few of you showing pictures of heavy corrosion at the bottom of windsreens. You dont really get that here. I suspect that the powerful sun rays kill the rubber which leads to powdering / cracking and this then allows night air moisture/ condensation to get in and do its worst.
My Brumby cut has corrosion here:(

We unloaded the cut earlier today - its now sat in HDC's yard and will be stripped out through this week. Its sat between a stripped out Impreza and a Legacy (Liberty)
It was (typical) raining so I guess its seen its first rain for a decade or so:mrgreen:

The guy who unloaded it for us used a large 4x4 tractor with forks on the front arms. He could aim that thing to 1/4 inch !!! Very impressive.

Back to the competition......its not the Bacho tool kit either.(ace tools made in Sweden)

OK OK what you are looking for is an Australian made item in one of the pictures. The item you are looking for didn't come with the truck. (sorry if I didnt make that a bit clearer)

Give it a closer look guys and we'll call time on Thursday this week if no one can guess.

Sorry Rik. its not the straps either....although I gained some useful little yellow ones which were used to help hold the cut down.

re all the bits for spares....I gotta find somewhere / how to store them all as my garage is stuffed to its rafters already!

Dont give up guessing guys - one of you may well win that curry & beer! Pictures to check over are on post 95 of this thread.......surely someones gotta get it soon ?

The joke is on YOU Giles, nothing is made in Australia anymore

A lot of stuff used to have little oval shaped gold stickers saying Made in Taiwan, now mostly everythng seems to be - Made in China

Before that were white stickers with blue boomerangs on them, after that green triangle labels with a kangaroo

Or is it purely export only item we don't even know about here?

Don't see a dog, like a Kelpie with Oz genes either ?

It's a little difficult to see through the window but is that aussie sheep skin on the seats? I can't think of anything else that would be made in australia.

Even they may be made in NZ?

Hi Giles, Sorry I have been off the computer for a couple of days. Mate I'm as nervous as sh....t. I'll be buggered. Last time I saw that, it was sittin here at Toowoomba in Queensland. Well there you go..Bloody amazing. What you can do these days with a bit of email, a will to do something and a dream to bring your truck up to the condition that you want it to be. Mate, I'm gobsmacked. Good luck to you with it and I hope you get all you can from it.

By the way, the previous owner of that brumby is also just as dumbfounded as we are, that his little work ute would end up over there.

Hi Trev, yup I am relieved and chuffed that its arrived too. Have you shown your mate the pics of his Lil old truck?
I will try and get a further image of it where it is now - its high up on a hill in beautiful countryside above Hebden Bridge. Its final resting place.........RIP.

We are starting to strip it out this week - weather permitting as its raining most days at the moment!
Can you ask him if you can when it was last running (aircon pump) as it looks as if the pump pulley is not in line with the driver pulley on the engine. Maybe someone has had the pump off and then refitted ???? Will try get a piccy tomoz.
Looking forward to getting the aircon in Scooby - then I can do some sums...........gulp!

NO - This is a pukka Aussie product have got a close up piccy already and waiting of it........hehehe
Keep on guessing - that curry is very good and well worth the 12,000 mile trip to get it !

Sadly our two Irish red setters passed away some time ago - so no doggie connection.
