Computers are odd. I just tried to view a scanned item of text, stored as a pic, reduced to 50kb to email to kona480 and myself. Viewed it through a new picasa application I not seen before and it had small shots of icons of websites I know I have visited - like just the aus post icon and post reply buttons from here, some pics from here of Brumby, and signatures pics of El Freddo? and others, some images a um delight dated Jan 01, 2000 not seen before I don;t think, I am using a refurbed PC but it is definitely older and faster than Jan 2000, click anotrher button and some ends up n my picasa library to keep or share.

If you are using XP and for what ever reason the drive was just re installed and not given a good thrashing with a formatting tool, then images can be put back on the drive from the system restore folder as can nasty little viruses. picasa searches everywhere on the computer for pictures and then loads them into the library it is difficult to explain to someone when incriminating jpegs from a removable drive show up in picasa because of SR or the recent documents folder in windows.
I stopped using picasa as my firewall kept telling me it was talking to the people who manufacture it, and it wasn't just the upgrade page, it was giving out information on what pictures I was viewing and how often (who knows what else as well)
