whos looking for a lift kit??

i had a talk to the old man last night. seems everyones looking for lift kits adn it seems BYB is the only mob around who can do them right??
but has anyone heard from them?? last time i checked their website had gone down??

well if anyone is looking for a small (upto 3 inches) lift them i may be able to con dad into making a few relativly cheap, for motorsport uses only ofcourse, for the simple act of covering our ass if something goes wrong. anyone slightly interested??

ive heard some bad stuff about byb, dont want to cause slander so nuff said.
im going to get dad to do a proper quote for the L seires so we can work with that first. basically machining blocks, looking into the brake line extensions if need be, the other problem we currently have is the steering extension but im sure we can work around it.

as previously stated these lift kits are not for off road use only!!

I would need a full kit with brake lines and all the associated parts
that the other kits have, but have the $$$ if you can get one together.

I would be interested in 2" lift blocks (engine cross member and rear cradle), not suspension lift if he could make them?

I know for a fact , Crossbred performance make lift kits amongst other things. They are gal dipped and Lazer cut. So i dont know where the idea , that now one makes them any more come from. OR that no one makes decent ones any more.

sorry rick just seems we cant get anything out of byb and i havent tried crossbred.

we can get the brake lines currently, the plan is to make them light weight ali welded instead of solid blocks, much cheaper to manufacture (helping the customer)
but everyone is talking about the right price, what do you guys consider a good price???

i havent seen a reliable price out there, they offer prices and ive know of a few that simple dont cough up

If you email Jeff at Crossbred he'll most likely be back to you with a price in a couple of days. I got my kit for the Gen2 and i was really happy with the service and quality.

Hi, I'm the 2010 Forester owner who's not sure how these pages work yet. I'm interested in getting the thing to handle as good as my 05 Forester and get its bum off the ground. I've always had positive experiences with both BYB and Crossbred.

FYI this is the BYB server that is kindly kept running via donations from members if anyone is feeling generous.

wonder what your thinking here ? does NOT sound good to me

"machining blocks", ? there shouldn't be any need to machine any blocks,
cut,welding and drilling should be all.
The steering extension might be the only component that needs actual machining and is the hardest to source.

put tehm on the mill and cut them out of solid, less time wasting.

and dane it is the byb board kept running by membership, however is byb still around??

The BYB kits are all made this way these days anyway I believe. I think the business of making "BYB" lift kits is all done by one guy these days, Subi Wan Kenobi who is pretty rarely available. I could be wrong but who knows, there isn't really any information available except a really old sticky thread.

its not a new concept making them of solid, its if you can get them
